Craps Strategies
Not to be confused with a craps system, a craps strategy is simply a way of playing the game
with certain precautions in mind. It's not a set of rules nor need you play it exactly as is
laid out. Craps strategies are guidelines indicating what you can do to better your chances of
winning more money as opposed to losing more. Money management and betting styles play the two
most important roles in a good and effective craps strategy. There isn't a single strategy that
can guarantee consistent if any winnings since craps is a game of chance and that can't be
changed no matter what you do.
Now, with the vast growth of the internet, more and more information can be found relating
to what works when playing craps and what doesn't. Well, how exactly do we know which of the
craps strategies presented to us are good? This can be difficult at times, but one thing that
never fails is common sense and math. You're at an advantage if you've mastered your math
skills in high school, because they come in handy when evaluating strategies or systems.
Combining the odds of a number coming up on a roll with the payout will give you the edge that
the house has on that particular bet. Based on that, you'll be able to make an informed
decision which of the bets on the table are best to be made and which should be avoided.
Being aware of all possible bets that you can make is also very important. You see, the most
profitable bet to the player isn't even marked on the table, and many players pass up on the
opportunity of lowering the house edge and giving themselves a better shot at winning.
With time comes wisdom and you'll soon find yourself being able to judge for yourself as to
what makes a good strategy depending on what game you play. Though there are many craps
strategies available, only a few of them are actually worth your time. Make sure you know
absolutely everything about the game (bets, odds, payouts, etc.) and evaluate them as they
relate to each other.
